"The Fine Print"

[ Back to Article Titles Page ]  [ Back to Home Page ]

The Lord has just blessed me with a new printing system with which to write these articles and this is the first article that will be printed on it.  It is my prayer that as I consecrate this new printing system to His service, this and every other article He blesses me with will serve as a real and lasting blessing to all who will read it.

The people who sold us this printing system had to install it for the warranty to be effective and that in itself was quite an experience, but while the man was here to install the system, he showed us a unit called a "surge protector" which he said he was giving us.  He explained the surge protector and just took on over how that should the equipment connected to it be damaged by a surge of electricity (such as lightning), the company who makes the surge protector would repair or replace the equipment for up to $25,000.  The man went on to say that he had one like it connected to his own system.  After the man left and the dust settled from me trying to get my system back to working right, I began to read the documentation that came with the surge protector.  Well, the documentation did boast of a $25,000 warranty, but while reading the fine print, I noticed that the warranty specified for that amount only applied to a system on a network of systems.  After closer study, I found that my system was only warranted for a value of up to $2,500.

Way back yonder when I went to school, I was told that zeroes (0's) had no value, but when you add them to the right side of another number, they take on great value.  In the case of the fine print mentioned with the surge protector, that missing zero proved to be a great difference.  The value of the warranty boasted of by the manufacturer of the surge protector would indeed cover the cost of my system, but the value hidden in the fine print would fall very short of replacing my system.

The man who installed my system and who himself owns a surge protector apparently has not read the fine print that came with his surge protector.  He apparently actually thinks that if lightning were to damage his system, he will be covered for up to $25,000.  That will be fine as long as nothing ever happens to his system, but if and when something does happen, this man will surely be very disappointed.

Now that you're probably good and bored with hearing about my experience of getting a new printing system, here's what the Lord has allowed me to see and share about the fine print.  Everything that this world has to offer contains fine print of sorts in that it is represented as one thing while in reality, there are stipulations attached to it.  Most people never get to read this fine print and they never know the real value of what the world is offering them until it is too late.  This world boasts of many benefits that are designed to entice those who may explore them and yet, there is but one true source of benefits that are free from fine print.

These benefits come from the Lord and each and every one of them are true and as represented.  Friends, there are no limits to these benefits and they are available to every man, woman, boy, or girl who will but receive them.  Although they are available to everyone, they are only accessible through Jesus Christ.  Only those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour can receive these benefits.  Like the man with the surge protector who will never know the worth of it until it is too late, those who don't have Jesus Christ when this life is over will know the worth of what they have missed.  If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, please delay no further.  Don't be caught depending upon the things of this world for as you have been deceived, you will be eternally disappointed.  Receive Him today and rest assured that you are completely covered.  There is no fine print. God bless you.
