A New Bible"

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."  Revelation 22:18-19.  This is a very strong warning and one that cannot be mistaken.  This warning is found in the inspired, infallible, Word of God, known as the Holy Bible.

There has been published and released recently a new Bible which they are calling, "The Politically Correct Bible".  In their description of this book, they refer to it as a new version, but I most strongly disagree.  This book, as it has been described, is in no way any kind of version of the Holy Word of God.  Indeed, there are many, many versions of the Bible on the market today.  It seems there is a Bible to fit the desires of just about everyone.  These versions range anywhere from being close to right all the way to being totally wrong.  What those who wrote these other versions did was to take the Word of God as it was written and translate it into a language that the targeted population could more easily understand.  This new Bible however, and I hesitate to even capitalize the word Bible when referring to it, has completely changed the Word of God, in that their primary goal was to take away all reference to gender concerning the Creator of this world and the Saviour of mankind.  When I say "mankind", like the Bible, the real Bible, I refer to man and his kind, which includes women and children.  When the real Bible speaks of God the Father however, it means just that.  God the man Father.  When the real Bible speaks of Jesus Christ as being God the Son, it means just that.  God the man Son.  This new Bible has taken away all reference to God the Father totally and it has taken away all reference to Jesus Christ as God the Son.  I don't know what all else this new Bible has taken away or added, but these changes alone are enough to know that the writers and quite possibly the publishers of this book are doomed to an eternity in the lake of fire.  Now, some may say that those people could see the error of their ways and get saved, but if you will carefully read Revelation 22:19 again, I believe you will see beyond a shadow of a doubt that these people have already had their part taken out of the book of life and out of the holy city.  Friends, that is eternally lost.

Not only those who wrote and published this new book, but also those who purchase and believe such trash run the risk of being eternally lost.  Chances are, if they will read this stuff and believe it, they will be hard to convince of it's error.  If a person will not believe who God says He is, then surely they will not believe that Jesus Christ is His only begotten Son who came into this world to save the world, and that is the only way they will ever be saved.  It is a sad fact that many people will die and go to hell because of this new "Politically Correct" book.  It is a sad fact that politics will be the ruin of so many people.

The main efforts behind this new "Politically Correctness" is that of the "Women's Movement" in America and around the world and it is no coincidence that the real Bible refers to Babylon as "her".  Now, I always hate to give my opinion in any of my articles, but there are times when I feel the need to make an exception and this is one of those times.  It is my sincere opinion that this new book, "The Politically Correct Bible", is but one more giant step toward the end of this world as we know it and time is quickly running out for many who have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.

In the real Bible, where God makes plain that He created man in His image, God makes many references to gender.  He gives example after example of both men and women who were both great and evil.  In each case, God makes it very clear that the person being referred to is either a man or a woman.  I don't believe that God was so explicit in His references for no reason.  No God made men and He made women and He meant for there to be a difference and He meant for the differences to be known.

Now, God only wrote one Bible and He will never write another, but as I have been reading my Bible and studying about the lives of all the people spoken of in the Bible, the thought has occurred to me that, "What if God said He was going to write another Bible and He said He was going to use my life as a reference and He asked me what person, other than the Lord Jesus Christ, I would like to be referred to as."  At first thought, I considered, as I'm sure many others would when asked this question, the Apostle Paul.  Paul was indeed a great man and one whose life was described in great detail many times in the Bible.  Then there was Joseph who did many great things back then and who also was mentioned quite often in the Bible and in a way had a lot to do with me personally being led to the Lord.  Then there was Moses and his great faith and power with God.  Then Daniel, whose faith delivered him from the lion's den among many other great feats.  And Elijah and Elisha who were so much mentioned and described as being great with the Lord.  I could go on and on and while all these I've mentioned have been great men of God, there were very many notable women who the Lord gave as examples and who would be very admirable to be likened to, should God liken us to someone.  But as I considered all these and the many others, there was one who stuck out above all the rest.  This man however wasn't mentioned all that much and not a whole lot was told about him and the great things he did.  This man's name was only mentioned eleven  (11) times in the entire Bible and most of those times were only referring to his lineage and yet this man would be the one I would most like the Lord to liken me to.  This man's name was Enoch and the Bible says, "And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah: And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him."  Genesis 5:21-24.  Friends, that's about all the Word of God tells us about this man, Enoch.  In these four short verses though there are five dynamic words written twice about this man, "And Enoch walked with God".  Replacing Enoch's name with mine, I cannot think of five greater words that I would cherish the Lord using to describe my life, however long He chose to allow it.

So many times throughout our Christian lives, we frustrate ourselves in trying to sacrifice this and that and to do this and that in order to be pleasing to the Lord and in every effort, we come up short.  Friends, we simply cannot please God by trying to do more than the other person or by trying to be better than the other person.  The very most we may accomplish in this would be to please other men.  There is one verse of scripture found in the little book of Micah where the Lord is telling His children what it takes to please Him.  First, His Word asks the question, "Wherewith shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before Him with burnt-offerings, with calves of a year old?  Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?"  Micah 6:6-7.  Indeed, noble sacrifices and deeds, but none of these is what the Lord requires to please Him.  How then, shall we please the Lord?  Enoch knew.  "He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God."  Micah 6:8.

Friend, God wrote one Bible and He will never write another, but in it are the answers to all this worlds woes.  So, you may say, if God will never mention my name in a Bible, what would it matter if He saw me as those five little dynamic words of description?  Consider this, "I am my neighbors Bible, he reads me every day."  Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with doing good things and sacrificing this thing and that thing and indeed these things may help some other person in many ways, but what would the Lord require my neighbor to read in me?  Three things.  1.  to do justly, ( would what I do be something I would want someone else or even the Lord to do to me?).  2.  and to love mercy, (if you're anything like me, you will need mercy a plenty, because you will fall very short of being perfect).  3.  and to walk humbly with thy God, (If we walk with Him at all, it will be humbly such as a dear friend of mine once said that he felt he should walk around the rest of his life on his knees).

No friends, God isn't going to write another Bible and the one I mentioned in the beginning of this little article is not of Him, but if you are a child of God, you are of Him.  Though the world may be looking at you, in reality it is Him who they need.  If you are doing these three things which the Lord requires to be pleasing to Him, whatever the world may think of you, God's purpose for your life will be fulfilled.  I sincerely hope and pray that this little article will serve as a real and lasting blessing to those who will read it.  May God most richly bless you!
