"Believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31. Friend, if you are a
regular reader of my articles, you can finally go out and tell everyone that
Mickey Quinn finally wrote a "How To" article. Before you do so however, I feel
it necessary to inform you that I merely copied it. I'm sure that you will never
have any trouble finding someone to tell you "How To" live the Christian life,
but beware, for you will find that many, if not most of them will lead you to
failure.
Also, if you are a regular reader of my articles, you will notice that this is
my shortest. In fact, it could have been finished by now, since I have already
given you the answer to this great question.
I do realize how depressing that short answer may sound, so rather than just end
this article now and have you going out and telling people that I said the
Christian life cannot be lived, let me clear that up.
Indeed, neither you nor I nor anyone else can live the Christian life, but it can be lived. The Apostle Paul gave the answer when he said, "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21. That's the answer. We ourselves, cannot live the Christian life, but if you have truly and sincerely, as the opening scripture instructs, trusted Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and received Him into your heart and life, He will live the Christian life in and through you. But you must allow Him to do so, for if you try to live it on your own, just like someone trying to help Jesus save them, it will be a failure. God bless you!
