Concise On-Line Help"

Recently, as I was trying to get my printer to work again, I was re-installing the software that came with the printer and I was finding it very difficult to get it to install properly.  At the very beginning of the set-up process, the software boasted of what it called "Concise On-Line Help".  All through the set-up process, the software offered me the opportunity to press F1 for help.  The first time I loaded the software I attempted to do it all on my own without very much success.  Well, my printer still did not work, so the second time I decided to take the software up on it's offer and I found myself pressing F1 quite often.  At the time I had no idea what the word "concise" meant but I found very little help from pressing F1, so I installed the software about five times, continuing to seek the help the software offered.  After much head scratching, I finally came to the conclusion that there was something missing.  By the way, I looked that word, "concise" up in the dictionary and it means, "expressing much in a few words".  I called the company who sold me the printer and spoke with the man who had originally installed the software.  I told him as concisely as I could what I had done and that I had reached the conclusion that there was something missing.  I was right and there was a disk missing that he had not left with me.  Well, I got him to make me a copy of the missing disk and installed it and right now, my printer works again.

Since the Lord saved me, I do a lot of reading and I really love to read.  I don't have a lot of education, so there are a lot of words and phrases that I don't fully understand and I find myself leaning heavily on the dictionary.  I have a friend who has written a lot of books which I have read and I really have enjoyed them.  Now, I have the advantage over most people who read these books in that I know the author.  You see, if I find something in one of these books that I don't understand or that I have a question about, I can just give this friend a call and he can clear it all up for me.  This friend of mine is a very smart man and unlike the software mentioned in the beginning of this little article, his help is indeed very concise.  This friend of mine has a special way of making things so clear that even I can understand.  Now, this kind of relationship makes reading his books a real pleasure.

I have another friend who wrote a book.  This book contains the instrutions for all life's circumstances.  This book is the Bible and the author and my friend is none other than God Himself.  Now, I won't say that I fully understand all that there is in His book, but I know the author and anytime there is something that really bothers me and I just can't understand it, I can just call upon my friend and He has the answer.  Talk about "Concise On-Line Help".  This friend knows the answers to not only the problems I may find, but He knows the answers to things I could never even think of.  Now, this friend is not only all wise and caring, but He is always available.  His line is never busy and unlike the software that had a disk missing, there is never any lack.  And to make it all even better, whatever I find important, He also cares about, so there are no dumb questions.

Friend, have you read this great book lately?  If not, I strongly recommend it.  It doesn't matter how smart you are or how many computers you may have, there is no greater source of wisdom found than that of the Word of God.  Without it, there is always a void in every area of life and just like the printer with the disk missing, it just won't work.  It can't.  Do you know the author?  If not, you can scratch your head until all your hair falls out and you will never understand why there are so many voids in your life.  This author and this friend is available to everyone who will seek Him.  In His Book we read, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."  John 3:16.  If you don't know Him, you can today.  The way to know Him is through His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.  If you don't know Him, His line is open right now.  All you have to do is call upon Him and believe upon Him.  If you don't know Him, I plead with you to accept Him No
